Are you investigating an accident around sunset or sunrise and want to know when these events occurred? Perhaps you want to know if the moon was up during a night time accident and how much of it was illuminated. To find the time of sun set, sun rise, moon rise or phase, or the exact time it is now, go "surfing" on the Internet to our home page where you can link in with the Naval Observatory.
There is much more information relating to "time" to be found there. If you need to know the azimuth and elevation of the sun at a particular time to see if it was obstructing the vision of one of the vessels in a collision, this information is not there, but MAC has the software to calculate them for any time and date.
