Virginia Maurer has written an interesting article concerning the compelling of an expert witness to cooperate under the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure (Georgia Law Review, 19:71 1984). The article discusses and examines the federal law governing discovery of experts, compelling an expert who is neither retained by the parties nor an ordinary witness and the issue of fairness between the parties.
