WEB PAGE (Fall 98)

MAC has an extensive web page which draws some 70 visits a day. It is an excellent and inexpensive way to attract business, not only for MAC, but for the expert or attorney listed on it. MAC has been receiving requests for experts who have placed their CVs on line with us. The price is minimal - $25 - compared with the benefit. Send us your CV in electronic format (Word, WordPerfect or best of all, HTML) together with your check. It will be online within a week.

If you are interested in the history of the Coast Guard contacts with a vessel they can be accessed through MAC’s home page. Go to the "Useful marine links" section and choose the "Coast Guard Marine Safety, Security and Environmental Protection" page and half way down on it click on "Port State Information Exchange." This is the source of Coast Guard information.

There is another area many investigators have found of interest, "Data Buoy" history. Data buoys are located offshore and collect weather and sea condition data. If you want information at the time of an accident, bring up the data and it will be the best objective data you can get. A map of the location of the various buoys is provided so you can select the nearest one. It is also accessed on the Marine link’s page.
