Recreational Boating Technical Information
BOAT/U.S., also known as the Boat Owners Association of America, has published the EXCHANGE for the past six years. Originally developed for marine surveyors to open communications between them and keep them abreast of ongoing developments and problems in the recreational boating industry, it is now expanding its membership to underwriters, attorneys, lenders, repairers, towers and others (that includes consultants).
Those experts who are involved with the recreational boating industry can use it as a helpful tool to keep abreast of the problems in the industry.
A subscription costs $25 per year and includes a second publication, SEAWORTHY, which alerts readers to potential problems on boats by describing actual losses. Persons interested in further information may write BOAT/U.S., 880 South Pickett Street, Alexandria, VA 22304, or phone (703) 823-9550.
